Biografía:
Actor inglés de gran presencia dramática y sensibilidad. Hijo del fotógrafo Mark Fiennes y de la novelista Jennifer Lash, tiene cinco hermanos, uno de ellos mellizo, Joseph, también actor. Ralph estudió en el Chelsea College of Art & Desing y en la Real Academia de Arte Dramático. En 1988 se incorporó al Britain Royal National Theatre y en 1987 a la Royal Shakespeare Company. A partir de La lista de Schindler (Schindler' List,1993), de Steven Spielberg, fue reconocido internacionalmente. Desde entonces ha trabajado con grandes directores como Robert Redford en El dilema (Quiz Show, 1994), Katherin Bigelow en Días extraños (Strange Days, 1995), Anthony Minghella en El paciente inglés (The English Patient, 1996) y Neil Jordan en El ocaso de un amor (The End of the Affaire, 1999), entre otros.
